Ivermectin Solution for Birds – Internal & External Parasite Treatment

Water-Soluble Ivermectin for Air Sac, Scaly Leg & Scaly Face Mites

Ivermectin solution for birds is used to support treatment of internal and external parasites including air sac mites, scaly face mites, scaly leg mites, tracheal mites, and certain intestinal worms.

This water-based dosing method allows controlled administration through drinking water for flock management.

Important Safety Information

  • Not recommended for birds under 3 months of age
  • Never administer directly from the bottle
  • Overdose can be dangerous – follow mixing instructions carefully

Standard Treatment Method

  • In the evening, remove all drinking water
  • The next morning, mix ivermectin solution thoroughly
  • Provide treated water as the only source for 24 hours
  • Replace with fresh untreated water the following day
  • Repeat treatment in 14 days

Many bird owners repeat preventative treatment 2–4 times per year as part of parasite management.

Mixing Guide

  • 1 gallon (128 oz): 11 tsp (55 ml)
  • ½ gallon (64 oz): 5 ½ tsp (27.5 ml)
  • 2 cups (16 oz): 1 ½ tsp (7.5 ml)
  • 1 cup (8 oz): ¾ tsp (3.7 ml)

Ensure treated water is the only water source during administration.
