Vetafarm Pigeon Wormout tablets are labelled to provide a complete kill of intestinal worms in pigeons: roundworm, hairworm, caecal worm, and tapeworm. They are an intestinal worm tablet product—not a coccidia product.
How do I dose Wormout tablets?
Official directions: give one tablet per pigeon by mouth. Repeat once every 6 weeks. No fasting is required per Vetafarm. Follow the pack you receive.
How is this different from Wormout Plus?
Standard Wormout has 5 mg praziquantel + 5 mg oxfendazole only (worms). Wormout Plus adds 0.5 mg diclazuril for coccidia and uses a two-day course with three-month re-treatment. Do not conflate the two packs.
What are the active ingredients?
Per tablet (Vetafarm): 5 mg praziquantel and 5 mg oxfendazole. No diclazuril.
Do I need to fast birds first?
Vetafarm states no fasting is necessary with this formula. Still follow your pack and loft vet advice.
