VetRx for dogs: a classic kennel remedy

It is a warm, aromatic blend of camphor and herbal oils that you drop into the nostrils, use in a warm-water vaporizer or use to clean ears.

Directions from the label

Warm it first

  • For best results use VetRx warm. Put the bottle in a container of warm water and let it stand for a few minutes, or warm it quickly over medium heat with the cap open
  • Always test the temperature of the product before applying

Nostrils

  • Adult dogs: 2 drops directly into each nostril
  • Puppies: 1 drop into each nostril
  • Repeat in 5 minutes. Repeat applications 3 to 4 times a day
  • If possible, isolate your dog and use VetRx in a warm-water vaporizer, following the vaporizer manufacturer's directions

To clean ears

  • Use VetRx warm and shake the bottle well to mix the contents
  • Apply by the drop or with a cotton swab, dampening the entire area
  • If scabs are present, do not dig them off. They should eventually be shaken off by the dog
  • VetRx leaves an oily film on skin and fur. It will not burn the skin or remove hair
